beta feature a staff facing tool for tracking student skills, milestones, or curriculum progress per class β a flexible checklist, gradebook, or update feed depending on how you configure it progress tracking is currently staff only β admins, team, and instructors can view and log progress, but there is no parent or student facing view yet π§ enabling it go to settings β general β modules and turn on progress a progress item appears in the sidebar for admins, team, and instructors π·οΈ progress groups (the checklist) a progress group is a named checklist β e g "swim levels" β that instructors track against each group is scoped one of two ways category default β applies to every class in a class category class override β applies only to one specific class, overriding its category's default a class with neither a category default nor its own override simply has no progress configured β nothing to track managing groups on the progress page, click the manage groups tab (admin only) click new group choose applies to β a class category, or a single class (this can't be changed after creation) name the group (e g "swim levels") and optionally add a description shown to instructors click create group deleting a group hides it from instructors and admins going forward, but any progress already recorded stays intact and remains visible in students' history progress items (the rows inside a group) inside each group, add progress items β the individual skills or milestones instructors track each item has a type type what it tracks checklist simple status β not started / in progress / achieved graded (mark/score) a numeric mark out of a max, with a letter grade computed from a rubric you define media update (photo + note) narrative photo + caption updates with no status β e g "emma finished her art activity" items can be nested one level deep β a parent item with sub items becomes a read only container whose status (not started / in progress / all achieved) is computed automatically from its children, never logged directly for graded items, define a rubric of grade bands (e g 0β59% = c, 60β79% = b, 80β100% = a) β use copy rubric fromβ¦ to reuse another item's bands β
logging progress (instructor / admin / team) open progress β \[class] to see the class roster, in grid or list view each student card links through to their progress detail checklist items β click the status pill and choose not started / in progress / achieved marking achieved opens a dialog to confirm the date (defaults to today, can be back dated) and add an optional note graded items β click record mark , enter the mark and the max ("out of"), and the grade is computed automatically (with an option to override it) add an optional note media items β click add update to post a photo (up to 6 per entry) with a caption any item also supports a standalone add note for commentary that doesn't change status each item's history can be expanded to see a timeline of past entries with date and who recorded it admins and team can edit or delete past entries; instructors can add new entries but not edit or delete existing ones bulk mark entry for graded items, click enter marks to open a spreadsheet style dialog β pick the graded item, enter a mark for every student at once, and click save marks excluding a student admins and team can toggle exclude from tracking on a student's card to hide them from the class's active roster view without deleting any history they already have π summaries class progress page β shows students tracked, have started, completed everything, and class wide completion %, plus a per item breakdown student progress page β shows the student's progress across all their tracked classes, with a grade trend chart for classes with graded items progress overview page β for admins, groups all classes by their resolved progress group; for instructors/team, shows only the classes they're assigned to ποΈ hide from parent on a student's progress page, admins and team can toggle hide from parent / show to parent per class this toggle is reserved for a future parent facing view β there is currently no page where parents or students can see progress, so toggling it has no visible effect yet
