AI Assistant
The AI Assistant lets you ask questions about your academy data in plain language — no need to manually filter reports or dig through tables.
🚀 What It Can Do
Ask questions like:
- "How many students haven't paid this month?"
- "Show me all students in the beginner yoga class"
- "Which classes have the most attendance this week?"
- "Who are the students with overdue payments at Petaling Jaya branch?"
- "How much revenue did we collect in February?"
- "List all students who joined in the last 30 days"
- "How much did we collect in event registration fees this month?"
- "What was our total payroll cost last month?"
- "Can I send notifications to parents once I mark a student as present?"
The assistant queries your live academy data and returns an answer in seconds — and for "how do I" or "can I" questions, it can also explain how a REMMU feature works and where to turn it on, using our help documentation.
⚙️ Accessing the Assistant
The AI assistant is available from the bottom-right corner of the admin portal — look for the chat bubble icon.
Note: It's only visible to Admins and Team members. Members and instructors do not see the assistant.
🤖 Meet ANA and RAY
Your academy has two assistant personalities — you can switch between them at any time:

Both give the same answers — just in different styles. Pick whichever feels right for how you work.
To switch: open the assistant → tap the assistant name at the top → select ANA or RAY.
🔧 How It Works
The assistant uses two approaches to answer your question:
- Instant match — common questions (like "how many students are overdue") are answered instantly from a pre-built template
- AI query — for more complex or unusual questions, it uses AI to understand your question and query the relevant data
Both approaches only access your academy's data — no other academy's information is ever included.
📊 Data Access
The assistant can query:
- Students
- Classes, enrolments, and individual class sessions (including drop-ins)
- Payments (student payments) and the accounting ledger
- Attendance records (students and instructors)
- Locations and instructor availability
- Instructors
- Packages
- Events and event registration fees
- Member wallets, credit notes, and payment vouchers
- Progress tracking / grading records
- Payroll (admins and team members with payment permission only)
It cannot access platform-level data, other academies, or any data outside your tenant.
Payroll, wallets, events, and ledger data are only answered for Admins (or team members with payment-management permission, for payroll specifically) — a team member without that access will be told the information isn't available to them.
📖 Feature Guidance
Alongside your live data, the assistant can also answer "how do I" and "can I" questions by reading REMMU's own help documentation — the same content published at docs.remmu.com.
For example:
- "Can I send notifications to parents once I mark a student as present?"
- "How does the referral program work?"
- "Where do I set up a payment gateway?"
The assistant explains how a feature works and where to find the setting — it does not know whether that setting is currently turned on for your specific academy. If you need to confirm your own configuration, check the relevant settings page directly.
🔑 Team Member Scoping
If a team member is scoped to specific locations, the assistant automatically limits answers to data from their assigned locations — even if they ask a broad question.
⚠️ Limitations
- The assistant answers questions about existing data — it cannot create, edit, or delete records
- Very complex multi-step analyses may not return perfect results — verify with the full reports if precision is critical
- The assistant cannot send emails, messages, or take any actions on your behalf
- Usage is rate-limited to prevent abuse (20 queries per minute per user)
🛡️ Privacy
Assistant queries are processed securely. Your academy data is never used to train AI models.
